Whitechapel Art Gallery initially doing a foundation course and the following
year to do a three year degree course at the Central School of Art in Fine Art which
involved painting, drawing, printmaking and art history.
After working for a brief spell in a Gallery and then for a City finance company she
then ran her own Gallery in Sussex buying and selling 19th Century paintings.
Painting became more of a hobby as she worked for 20 years as a gallery owner
and picture dealer exhibiting at antiques fairs around the country.
Sam finally returned to painting and drawing full time, initially as fund raising
exercises and still occasionally offers portrait vouchers for prizes at Dog Rescues.
She lives in Sussex with her husband Brett and their two terriers working from her
studio at home.
